Black Box For Cars

A new product designed by computer giants IBM is set to revolutionise the motoring world. The new product is a black box that is set to rock the motoring world by policing the roads via global positioning systems.

The new black box is designed to be fitted to vehicles all around the world and will monitor a driver's speed on a stretch of road. The box is designed to record the driver's details, cars details and the speed at which they are travelling. All this information is then relayed back to a central control and compared against then speed of the road on which the motorist is travelling. Via global positioning technology it can then be determined as to whether or not the motorist is speeding.

If the information gathered determines that the motorist is speeding then the driver can be issued with a speeding fine. The box has been designed to allow a warning to be conveyed to the driver implying that a motorist may receive a set amount of warning to correct their speed before a fine and penalty points are issued to the driver.

This new technology could help to decrease the amount of speeding on the roads and could there for lead to safer roads. Some members of the public believe that this could just be another ploy for the government to make money and invades on an individual's privacy. However this new device could lead to less accidents and car insurance claims which could ultimately lead to cheap car insurance premiums for everyone.
