Female Car Insurance Could Rise?.. (Pt. 1)

In keeping with some of our earlier articles about how womens car insurance is calculated, this article is going to discuss how the gap between the sexes could be closing.

Does this mean that men are driving more slowly and their claims are not costing a similar amount to womens? No, it means that women are catching up with men and in some cases beating them in the cost of claims battle. As women are under more pressure to juggle their professional and family lives, many are taking their frustration out on the roads and other road users.

The number of women convicted for speeding last year rose by 50% and there is no sign that this trend is going to stop any time soon. Some analysts believe that the rise in the number of speed cameras is partly responsible. As a rule, women tend not to speed excessively, perhaps 35ph in a 30mph zone, where before they may have been able to talk themself out of a ticket from an officer, a speed camera is indiscriminate.

Coupled with the fact that having 3 points on your license is almost the norm these days, soon there will be more peope who have points on their license than not.
